Box Truck
Box vehicles usually have a rectangular cargo space. Outside of the actual cab and unreachable from the cab itself, the cargo area is on a frame.
Dry Van
Dry van trailers are used to transport goods while shielding them from the environment and traffic hazards, as they are usually completely enclosed.
Reefer
Reefer is slang for any trailer equipped with an auxiliary refrigeration unit. This is the most common way for transporting frozen or chilled items.
Flatbed
The popularity and prevalence of flatbeds can be attributed to their versatility. A flatbed’s frontal, flanks, and rear can all be used to store cargo.
Step Deck
Step deck trailers can carry even the tallest cargoes since their deck height is adjustable, unlike normal trailers, which have a set deck height.
Power Only
When a carrier only supplies a driver and a tractor (or “power unit”), this is known as power-only trucking, and it’s a full truckload capacity option.
